Looks very similar to the the Steiner MK4 light. Like...eerily similar.

Compared to the Surefire M600U, the Colt weighs more with only 400 lumen output, and is over an inch longer. It also costs more, and has yet another proprietary remote switch socket.

Read the comments section on that link and the hilarity ensues as one of the Colt weapon light reps is posting on there about 35,000 round tests and making unsubstantiated claims about the durability of competitors, and how "every other light is only rated for .22." How long has Surefire been used in actual war?

Colt's hype machine seems to be going pretty strong these days.

I recently discovered these 'Colt' (made in PRC) lights and thought I'd give one a try since I'm a fan of both AA's and vfg's so finding a setup I like has been problematic.
I wouldn't dream of paying the MSRP on one of these, but GrabAGun has a much better price: http://grabagun.com/coltlt-cltsepms4...c-400-lgt.html

    What I like:
400 lumens w/2xAA's, 200 lumens w/1xAA, pre-lubed dual O-rings at all threads, machining quality appears excellent, little fear of AD's since the switch requires definite pressure to activate and deliberate effort for constant-on, entire setup is modular/reversible, integral mount appears solid/rugged, mounting on the right side of my rifle places the switch where it's easily accessible w/o shifting my grip on the vfg.

    What I don't like:
Heavier than I'd like (8oz), long when using 2xAA's, care must be taken when threading components together to prevent the O-rings getting caught in the threads, there's an visual artifact (ring) in the peripheral throw.

So far I like it, but only time will tell if I end up keeping it.
