new Geissele Super Modular Rail MK14???

    Any experience with this?

Does it have to have the Geissele Special LoPro Gasblock?

Probably not since the Geissele block is larger than most of the standard ones on the market.

Well, I ordered a 15" Mk14 a few days ago during their sale. I'm looking forward to it. Hope it fits my steel Noveske barrel with Noveske GB. I'm pretty sure it will. The Mk14 will add a little weight to the build, but I'm OK with that because I think it'll be a pretty solid piece for my Go-to-Hell gun.

Anyway, its on its way, so I'll have it soon.

I built my MK14 railed rifle last night. I'm going to shoot it tomorrow. I really like the profile of the new rail system.

I bought one but am returning it in exchange for another Mk8. Regrettably, the M-LOK slots on the upper 45 degree angles have been omitted on the Mk14. That's a deal killer for me. It is a nice rail and they've eliminated some of the ridiculousness on the back end of the Mk8 (& others) with the sharp square corners, set screws, etc. I'm running the 9.5" rail and the absence of the 45s wouldn't be an issue if I was running the longer rails. I'd go Mk14 all the way in that case. The problem is all about light placement for me so YMMV.

I totally agree. If this rail had slots at 10 and 2 I would have already ordered 2 of them. I will stick with the MK8.

I don't mind the omission of the 10/2 slots in exchange for the slimmer profile and all the stupid corners in back. Why order a rail and return it for being featured exactly as ordered? Not read the specs beforehand?

I run my lights angled off 3 o'clock or 12 so it's a non-issue for me. I think the new rail is worth the compromise of...we'll I don't know what the compromise is because the 10/2 position is unnecessary.

I too would like M-lok slots at the 10 and 2, but I'll be happy using an offset mount and getting an improved profile and even bigger barrel nut. A good trade off in my opinion. The anti rotation tabs are not a flush fit with my MUR upper but I don't think this will be problematic. At least I hope not
