S&W Shield Rebate

I submitted my rebate for by mail on 05/31 and received the check on 08/10.

I appears the reason my receipt was "invalid" was due to the price I paid not being on it. Why should it matter what price I paid? It's a $75 rebate not a 20% rebate off the purchase price.

I sent the packing receipt I got with the gun because it had: The place I bought it from, the place it was shipped to, the serial number and that it was shipped.
If I just had a receipt and a serial number, it could have been a gun I bought and then changed by mind and returned it while still in the store. (Perhaps to get something else) One could fraudulently do that I think. They would still have a receipt unless the store insisted on altering it/taking it back.

Anyway, they gave me three weeks to send the letter back. So it goes out tomorrow with a copy of the receipt Palmetto State Armory E-mailed to me when I ordered the pistol. It contains all the info MPS wants, including the price. We'll see what happens.

I checked the Milano site, and it says I'm due the $75. It's said this for weeks.

I haven't gotten a rebate. I called the number, but the mailbox is full. Scam complete.

I did this against my better judgement and knew it was a dice roll. A lesson I had to learn a second time I guess.

Never again. Thanks for nothing S&W.

That's odd, when I called it was answered on the first ring. It's not a scam, it's just painfully slow!
I submitted 2, received 2 checks.

It's definitely not a scam. My check arrived yesterday, and it went directly towards the LE6920-R.

I almost threw the envelope that had my rebate in it, but SW something or other caught my eye. Small white fold-n-tear envelope!

Same here. Almost tossed both of them. Took 4-5 months.

Mine came over the weekend as well. I bought my Shield sometime around April IIRC. Guess they found that shoebox stuffed with post in their mail room...
