S&W Shield Rebate

Just tried; the response did list an unrelated purchase back in 2010. Called Milano and was told that they did have my .45 Shield rebate application on file from back in April, and which ought to be out to me by July 7. They suggested that I query the website again with zip and last name only again, but no joy.

I like the pistol a lot but marketing gimmicks are a royal pain.

Got the rebate check today. It came in a short envelope with a cryptic return address. Darn near tossed it in the trash as junk mail...

I just got a letter saying the SN was incorrect and to resubmit enclosed paperwork. I submitted the "Rebate Receipt" for on Cabelas, which also had the SN on it.

I'll check tonight and go through this cluster again...

My update from the end of May says something like, "improper documentation, letter being mailed back, please follow instructions".

Man, I did EXACTLY what the instructions said and I have no idea what they could have found wrong. This is why I hate rebates....

Anyway, when I get it back I'll let ya'll know what the issue was. This was the 2nd one I bought and I didn't even need it. It was just a great price on a good gun. (Shield .45) $317 shipped + $25 FFL, then $75 rebate.

Got mine yesterday for my 45 Shield. It was in a small envelope with no hint it had anything to do with S&W. looked like junk mail save for the fact it had $.46 postage printed on it. Inspect your mail carefully.
