    Aimpoint micro Comp M5?

Found a few pics of it, anyone have any details? Looks to be a AAA powered micro. I'd be curious to know what the battery life of this little guy.

Soldier systems even did a write up about it last August, but these close up pics are new, so I'm assuming yes, but I could be wrong. I found it on the internet, and you know if it's on the internet it has to be true.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Interesting. I just never saw or heard anything about it. I'm not doubting you.

A m5s model would be cool.

Well, I have my own doubts on it, the picture model and what the guy has in his hand appear to have differences the more I look at them so idk. Could be fake, or prototypes at different stages.

It is my understanding that the battery compartment can't be put low due to interference with the mounting system, so no 'S' variant will be made (for now).

I thought this was similar in size to an m4 (but with 3a battery) is it more like a micro in size?

No idea, scuttlebutt is that it's currently being issued to DoS, will then be offered to agencies after the DoS contract is fulfilled, and will probably see a SHOT 2018 general release.

Yeah, it appears to be fairly small, here's a larger picture of what was posted in the first post, you can see how it compares the T-2 that's on the top:
