Anyone got a source for plated 220gr 308 bullets for subsonic use?

Looking for some 220 ish 308 bullets for my 300 blk. I have been waiting since the 300 blk came out for the ability to shoot rifle shaped expanding bullets designed to expand at sub sonic velocities. I already have the supers down, 110 tac-tx, and 110 v-max.

Will i have to cast and powder coat my own bullets to get what i want. Anyone got a recommendation on a mold/shape/model number if i need to go this route.

Anyone know were to buy the bullets either plated fmj, plated semi hollow, or powder coated?

Powdercoating your own just seems like such a horrible idea.

Any info on how they expand.

I do not want to cast my own. Thanks for the link

Missed the part about expanding. Not sure. I was just giving a link to a decent plated bullet.

I have no experience with these, but they sure look like they open up.

Lehigh Defense makes a 194 gr designed for expanding at subsonic 300 BLK velocities. I have not tried them yet

Im looking for ones that at least replicate a fmj handgun bullet, vs using a 220 smk

Not plated per se but coated tougher than plated is my personal favorite the 215gr from King Shooters Supply http://www.kingshooters.com/product....ed-309-31-3014 Superbly accurate, inexpensive, and very thrifty with powder. All you need is an expander die or the Dillon C powder funnel for .30 Carbine to bell the case mouth so it doesn't shave off coating, then crimp it back to spec with the Lee FCD. I've been running these for quite some time now and see little reason to ever do otherwise.

    Thanks for the link.

I also saw that rainier balistics makes 2 bullets for the 300blk now.
One is hollow point and one is a flat point. It looks promising.

(I cant get a pic from the mfgr hope this link is ok)
