Short Trigger for a Colt Gold Cup

I recently discovered that EGW makes a Short Gold Cup Trigger for the current Gold Cup pistols; while you may not want one, there are shooters who would like to have one and do not know that
EGW makes a quality short trigger for the Gold Cup Trophy and GCNM.

EGW makes GREAT parts in my opinion! I've gone to short triggers in all my 1911s as after seeing a video by Larry Vickers, discussing the right trigger length to insure that the trigger press is straight back into the frame. For me, I've taken advantage of the 1911's linear, not radial, trigger press system by using short triggers that allow the pad of my index finger to curve enough that when it contacts the trigger shoe, I get a straight rearward press to fire the pistol. The long triggers touch my index finger "early" and I get an angled press on the shoe. Short triggers also make gloved shooting easier for me-

I agree the.batman; more folks need to give short triggers a try.

greyman, It appears that George designed his over travel adjustment by a raised pad of the aluminum on the back of the shoe. It doesn't have a blind hole on the back with a set screw does it? If it doesn't have a screw, that's an ingenious way to incorporate a stop that can't back out like a screw, and I'm sure it's much lighter than the Colt trigger with the steel screw.

Very nice, the GCNM I have had a Delask magnesium trigger installed. It's a bit different, but it feels great.
    Thanks for the 10-8 info

Wilson Combat has a short trigger for a Gold Cup? Didn't know that. I know they offer an Ultralight Match Long Solid Trigger and an Ultralight Match Long Standard Trigger.
