    First AR15 Build

Iam now putting together my first AR15 build. I just purchased a Aero Precision M4E1 AR-15 Upper Receiver + GEN 2 Free Float Rail and iam looking at a Aero
AR15 Ambidextrous Lower Receiver and a Prime Weaponry DIAMOND (DLC) BOLT CARRIER GROUP. I need some advice on purchasing a 16" barrel. What does the group recommend?

Wrong forum. This is for completed builds. I would post in the Technical or General forum. I also wouldn't waste the money on that BCG and just get a quality milspec from BCM or Toolcraft to save some money. As far as a barrel goes what is the purpose of this gun? Do you prefer midlength gas?

I would like to build a AR with some nice parts. When completed I might sell it and build another... Is there a reason you dont like a DIAMOND (DLC) BOLT CARRIER GROUP ??
Iam looking for a mid length 16" barrel...

Wrong forum. Like said above, look at BCM, Toolcraft, and I'll add a few more. Centurion, Ballistic Advantage, and if you want a "cheap" bcg, look at Spinta precision sale for blems. Snagged one for 64.95 plus shipping. Doesn't mean it's great, but it'll run till it fails. Don't have any experience with it, so we will see lol.

Depending on what you want in a barrel, Ballistic Advantage isn't bad either.

    To all concerned.

The custom build area is a place to show off/discuss and ask questions and get feedback about your completed custom build (this means a completed AR that is functional and already completed). If you are going to post pictures of your build, please post a complete picture not just your parts, partial lowers, etc....

Also, buying an upper separate and then a lower and throwing them together does not constitute a custom build. It would be nice if you took time to explain how you came to your decision and explain your set up. Thanks.

If you do not follow the guidelines and your post disappears it's probably because it was moved to the trash or deleted.
