    Nikon 1 - 8x or 1 - 6x Scope

Lately I have been debating about a 1-6 or 1-8x scope that's around $350 or less. I forgot about Nikon for some reason and started looking at their options, it's going on a 16" build. Looking for something with a BDC. I was also debating about Primary Arms 1-6x ACSS so I'm stuck. I will be using the ar15 for hunting and some range shooting.

Didn't know Nikon built a 1X6 or 1X8 scope. Can you link me to them?

    Nikon Black Force 1000

No experience with the optic, but here's a link: http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/n...force1000.html
"There is no nice way to arrest a potentially dangerous, combative suspect. The police are our bodyguards; our hired fists, batons and guns. We pay them to do the dirty work of protecting us. The work we're too afraid, too unskilled, or too civilized to do ourselves. We expect them to keep the bad guys out of our businesses, out of our cars, out of our houses, and out of our faces. We just don't want to see how its done."

Glass quality can offset magnification. I'd try to compare side x side to see what provides the best picture.

How far are you looking to shoot?

According to their website, they don't make a 1-6 or 1-8. They have several 1.5-6, 2-7, and 2-8. The one linked in this thread is a 1-4.

Good catch. I first saw it a few days ago and thought the magnification was higher. Seems Nikon is a little behind the power curve to be releasing a 1-4 in 2017 as their first LPV.

This is what I'm thinking about getting.
