    Springfield Saint barrel

It's listed as a 16" 1/8 twist Chrome moly Vanadium melanite barrel. I don't claim to be a smart man although I do play one on TV but is it Chrome lined or melonite? If both, how and where... furthermore why?

Per the specs my guess is that it's melonited, not chrome lined. Chrome in "chrome moly" or "chromoly" refers to the element chromium which is an alloying element of the barrel steel. Similarly, "moly" refers to the alloying element molybdenum.

I am fairly certain it is a 4140 barrel with a Melonite treatment.

I tell people almost daily- when you see a $400-500 dollar AR...they've cut corners someway, somehow. They've built the gun to a price point...instead of building it to a standard, then pricing accordingly.
They STILL think they can get a $500 AR that's gonna be "just like a Colt or BCM..whats the difference"?
Im just gonna start saying "nuttin".

In case you didn't hear the news or saw the banner, shitfield armory and RRA supported an anti 2A bill. Considering their ARs are garbage I would look elsewhere.

You should. Let them find out on their own.

Most people buying a $500.00-600.00 AR-15 are not going to shoot it enough to find out it's weak points.

The vast majority of the firearms industry from manufacturers down to individual shops support anti 2nd Amendment crap in some capacity. Companies like BCM cancelling Milwaukee PD's order because Chief Ed Flynn is an anti-gun statist are the extreme exception.
