i had the will power to not buy guns. I even bought a gun store and work for a company that manufactures the forging machines for said guns. I need help.

That is where I've found myself, and why I was pondering the question.

As a lefty, I've already hardwired the workarounds into my head, I have always believed in one way all the time for manipulations in order to minimize the paralysis of analysis.

So now I am asking myself why I have several hundred dollars worth of ambi control on my rifles.

    I've decided it cant hurt.

Left handed and I didn't see my option posted in the poll:

Ambi safety and ambi charging handle.

Not needed, but preferable. I like how my LWRC lower is set up with the ambi bolt catch. Even when it's not being shot left handed, the LH bolt catch/release makes locking the bolt to the rear a much simpler maneuver - depress it with your trigger finger and pull the CH, done.

The ambi charging handle is one of the best upgrades I've made to my rifle.
I expend tremendous amounts of energy and time merely to be normal.

I'm a lefty - I think ambi controls should be the standard for ARs. I have ambi controls on all my ARs - I set them up to be efficient for me. If I am handed a different rifle, I adapt; just like I do if handed a FAL, AK or HK.

Agree with the above. It isn't needed but it is a convenience. I personally setup all of my ar's with ambi safeties and I think almost all of them have an ambi mag release(any that get shot semi regular do). I don't have ambi charging handles but I do use the extended bcm ones. Again this is something that isn't needed for most but I think most would agree it is nice to have. Same goes for things like trigger upgrades.

Every rifle should be fully ambi.
    ( Anything to get advantage.)
This of course with the caveat the parts are solid.
By the way-im a lefty, color me biased...

I am a southpaw and think the ambidextrous magazine release is really an asset; an ambidextrous magazine release makes for a faster reload. I have both the ambidextrous magazine release and the ambidextrous safety, and I consider them money well spent.
