Suggestions for general purpose carbine build? (14.5" or 16") (BCM vs DD vs LWRC etc)
Have more money coming my way and I'm deciding on purchasing or building a new AR rifle. I like balance and I like things to be able to fit into multiple roles, therefore I'm looking to build a somewhat more "general purpose" AR.
No, I don't mean an AR that can hit accurately out to 750 Yards and be able to be stuffed into a backpack.
I'm looking for a carbine length rifle, where I would keep a variable zoom 1-4x (or 1-6x) optic, and a 45 degree canted red dot. Looking for something that I can maneuver easily with but also be able to reach out and touch someone at a decent distance.
I'm looking for suggestions for either a complete pre-built rifle, or a custom build. I'd like to keep the rifle under $1,750. (Or around there) WITHOUT the optics.
Suggestions on a parts list?
What length barrel would best suit this rifle? I'm living in Washington if anyone wants an idea of the area. I'm debating between a 14.5" (Pinned) and a 16".
I'd like to stay away from a match grade barrel, I am planning on shooting this a lot.
Thank you

The master replied: "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."
Gear, or rifles are only as good as the user. Even if a rifle is true to an inch at a mile, even if gear is as light as a feather, yet as durable as leather, it is limited by its user. Invest in training.
