I had the chance to look through a primary arms 1-6 and vortex 1-6 side by side. The vortex glass was much better. At least 2x as clear. The primary arms red dot has very high reviews. If your patient you can probably find an aimpoint or trijicon used for not much more. I just picked up an aimpoint pro for 275.00 last weekend. Put on an MI qd mount, I'm into it total of 350.

I may have missed it, but where are you? Most of us will let a new shooter fiddle around with equipment when they're looking to get started.

I live about 60 miles north of NYC in the hudson valley area of new york

Any suggestions for a bipod. Would like to have one for range shooting but wow, lots of options out there. Wanna keep price under $150 if that helps with suggestions

I like the Harris SBRM bipod. The leg notches are a nice feature along with swiveling. Add a pod loc lever and quick detach mount and you should be around the $150 mark.

Thank you. I'll look into that. Can't believe how many choices are out there

Finally got it all together. Hoping to dial it in this weekend

Edit: oh nvm, too late lol. Good luck with your weapon.
