That was my plan
I wanted a 308 with a wood stock and being a former Jarhead the M40 was the most logical choice
the wood feels so nice and Deep Taylor of http://taylorprecisioneng.com makes a remarkable stock
get the buttpad he fits them to the stock and the sling swivels if he has anymore

They come ready to stain ....a few coats of linseed oil, a light sanding with some steel wool and its ready
