Most of it was grinded down with a dremel attachment on a ELECTRIC DRILL!

    It took some concentration.

I still plan on getting more of these for future builds.

I can post a photo this weekend.
You do not need to use a slave pin to install the hammer, the slave pin does come in handy for the trigger and disconnector assembly but for the hammer just use a punch from the right side to align the holes and cock the hammer**, gently remove the punch and install the hammer pin. There is enough of the pin exposed on the left side for a small punch to push the hammer pin out the right side if need be.

ETA: **Be sure to capture and maintain control of the hammer to prevent it going "boing" and of course do not pull the trigger.

    Well that was enlightening.

I'll try that out on my next build. Wish I knew that ahead of time!

AIM Surplus is having a free shipping sale:

    I bought 2 more.

1 will replace the one that I butchered!

Were these a limited run? I have never found one in stock anywhere in the last 2 months.

I've bought several from Brownells in the past, currently have 3 on backorder, just waiting it out.

I think they just sell out quick. I saw them on the G site not too long ago. I forget where I got mine, but I was searching for at least a week haha.

Wanted to check out the new Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch and the Memorial Day sale was the opportunity to do so. Installed one on my Colt with Norgon Ambi-magazine release and one on my SIONICS carbine with KAC Ambi-magazine release.

Geissele definitely went a different direction than the ABC/R from Forward Controls Design. I'll be getting some trigger time on it soon and will provide some observations down the road.

It has been a while since this one has been bounced to the top.

Will, have you developed a preference for either a Norgon or KAC ambi-release when used in conjuction with a Maritime Catch? Or, for that matter, any other thoughts on it since you've using it?
