Thread Pitch for Remington 700 in 300 Win Mag

    Hello All,

I want to have the barrel on my Remington 700P in 300 Win Mag threaded so that I can use it with an SilencerCo Omega supressor. I'm trying to determine what thread configuration I should have done.

The barrel is 0.8125" at the muzzle. The SiCo muzzle break that I would be using is available in:

    1/2x28
    5/8x24
    9/16x24RH

My other .30 cal rifles (300Blk and .308) are both 5/8x24 but I'm not sure if that is appropriate for the Remington.

    What would you all suggest?

    Thanks,

    JRC

5/8x24 is standard. If you ever choose to go with another MD, that would be most common.

Thanks. I just didn't know if the OD of the barrel would impact the choice.

It does, but 5/8x24 should work and is the preferred thread.
