Kinda new to shotguns, found some Sellier and Bellot 12G 00 Buckshot.
That stuff any good? It'll be going out a Rem 870.
Thanks

A Student once said to his master: "You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?"
The master replied: "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."
Gear, or rifles are only as good as the user. Even if a rifle is true to an inch at a mile, even if gear is as light as a feather, yet as durable as leather, it is limited by its user. Invest in training.
I don't know all the ins and outs of their wad tech, but the stuff I tried was unbuffered and didn't pattern very well. It did function in my semi just fine.
Had few boxes, never any issues with it. Pattern was fine.
I have been using the S&B low recoil 00 in a 18.5" faux Shockwave 870. No failures to fire in less than 100 rounds.
Five inch at 7yds and 10-12 inch pattern at 15 yards from the cylinder barrel, but the pattern measured in feet beyond 25 yards. The pattern seems to be relatively even and consistent.

It is standard unbuffered buckshot. Pattern is what you'd expect. It is not going to be ultratight like the federal fc or hornady.
Worry less, Train more.
It's fine. Full powered.
They're "low recoil" isn't much lower recoil. Neither is RIO or some of the US brands. Fiocchi/Herters "low recoil" is lower recoil than the others in my experience.
For me, it's worth it to pay a bit for more Federal's "FliteControl."
The Box of Truth did a test of buckshot patterns...
I still have some of their early 2000's stuff with 12 pellets instead of 9 and it patterns about the same as any other generic full powered buckshot.
What choke are you using and for what purpose?
A 2nd on Flite Control wads if you have a barrel and choke combo that doesn't strip the wad off. I have one that does strip it with an IC choke and I ended up getting better patterns with it by screwing in a modified choke and using Remington 8 pellet reduced loads.

I have used many cases of this and been present for the firing of thousands of rounds of the 12-pellet non magnum OOB load-- it was really good stuff. Was just looking for more and not finding this load.
Only downside, horsehair wadding is stinky.
