The growing number of green on blue incidents has me concerned, soldiers can't be vigilant 24x7 while developing trust relationships with indigenous troops.

My immediate reaction is to want to declare that place not worth spending US lives on. I know that is the wrong answer, but...

Without a doubt, airport areas outside the security zone are the new trouble area. Crowds, queues, etc. All unscreened. Same for sporting events and concerts.

And just to clarify I wasn't disagreeing with that message, I was trying to amplify it. I'm trying to convey that this airport is a place where you would worry about your car getting broken into, maybe a small chance of pick-pocketing or theft of luggage, but not much else. It is exactly the kind of place where most people would let their guard down. Even I would, at least before this.

Many of us who don't have to live in or visit dangerous or crime-ridden areas don't, and get nice and comfortable in our low-crime-area bubble. I'm guilty of this to an extent. I'm simply agreeing that you shouldn't get TOO comfortable even in such areas.

Personally, I expect more small airport attacks. ATL has security carrying suppressed M4s (or what ever the issue weapon is).
Flint is likely much less secure and I expect that the whole tsa process is much less robust. Our local airport does not seem to have but one local officer on hand.

When my wife and I came back from St. Thomas in January the Nashville airport police were sporting LWRCI M6 SPR's (with the spiral fluted barrels) and RDS. I was talking to one of them while waiting for baggage and he said the "show of force" (there were several of them in a group standing there) was in part due to that shithead at the Ft. Lauderdale airport not long before.

More info. Looks like the guy tried to buy a gun at a gun show but was denied because he's not a US citizen. So he bought a knife instead.

    Happy Ramadan.

    It's almost like it's predictable.

I've never been to Michigan but I'm not ignorant to the laws of probability. You a massive islamic population in Dearborn which spills over to other cities. Before this knife attack at the Flint airport the Feds executed a raid at a home in Dearborn on June 5th citing "National Security".

I live pretty damn close to the airport. It is a lil fella for sure. As far as Mi. and our islamic/middle eastern population. I do not think it is as big of deal as most people make it out to be. They have been here for a long long time and are pretty rooted. Most all of them pay taxes and own businesses. They also are pretty active at weeding out the bad crowds or giving tips to authorities on bad apples. They are not isis or whatever. I honestly feel like most the terrorists would rather be somewhere where they are a lot more low key and not noticed. It would be like me living it up in Rochester or Bloomfield Hills. I am a country boy always have been. But just because I look like them does not mean they would not notice me in minutes.

This shit is just going to get worse, these little random attacks. Keep your head on a swivel.
