Yeah they Canadians have lots of opportunities and lots of gear and training. Seems the Yanks still beat them in the international sniper competitions.

Does anybody know the exact ammunition that would have been used?
I'm doing a rough estimate ballistics calculator for grins. Flight time of around 8.2 seconds, 66mils of drop(that is 770 FEET of drop at that distance), 945fps on impact with 1487 ft-lbs. But that is guessing on the ammo, something similar to McMillan's BMG match ammo on their website.
    Pretty insane.

Wasn't the last record from a .408 Chey Tac? Go Team McKenzie.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

I think it was 338 Lapua.

If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

Ok, I've got an El Camino full of rampage here, so what's the plan?

    That's what I read too.

BTW, I saw your first post in this thread... very nice. I was hoping for a video though.

According to Fox (will NOT vouch for the accuracy of the MSM when it comes to firearms) but they stated it was a 750 grain Hornady.

This doesn't take into account the shots that are still classified mind you . . .

So the lesson is don't sit still. Or if you move, it could cost you, either way you are done with a solid shooter behind the gun. And yes sometimes there is some good luck involved, but skill is always present. You do know that Gunny Hathcock's long .50 shot would have missed if the hamburger didn't stand up? He shot when he was squating, filling his canteen-should've had a bigger canteen!
