Just found this article in which Jim Mattis, as Secdef, promised the Turks that any weapons we give the Kurds to fight ISIS will all be accounted for and returned to us after Final Victory...
I doubt that in all the centuries of Kurdish strife not one Kurd has ever turned in a serviceable weapon to anybody...(a good policy anywhere, anytime).

Ok, I've got an El Camino full of rampage here, so what's the plan?If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

Maybe it's just me, but the only source I'd trust less than a "Washington insider" source would be a Turkish insider source.

The Kurds should get their own country, that is the price Turkey pays for their stupidity going back to blocking the northern route in Iraqi Freedom. Play stupid games, lose nice real estate .
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.
It's that simple.

Turkey is viewed as middle east fulcrum, but it is really a spoiler and we will come to that realization
at some time.
