    Italy's Centauro 2

So is this supposed to be some sort of modern tank destroyer, infantry support vehicle, or something else? The 120mm gun gives it a heavyweight punch - wonder if they could fit this onto a Stryker?

I've got about 35 years as a Crewman or Maintenance Rep for Armor vehicles.
I can only say, ""I will believe it when I see it." the systemic problems encountered when trying to put a cannon on a wheeled vehicle are many, auto loaders are particularly finicky and ammo payloads are often relatively light compared to tracked vehicles with similar cannons.
We had a hell of a shot at producing a very good light tank with tracks in 1988, we screwed the pooch and ended up with black beret's and a mind set geared toward lighter wheeled vehicles.
I wouldn't want my Son riding in to battle on it, just sayin'.
