Reminds me a bit of the fixed bayonets on the SKS rifles (I owned a pre-ban version with the bladed Russian version, not the Chinese spike style). Added a bit or weight for sure, and they rattled a bit as well. Intimidating perhaps, but not dreadfully functional like the detachable versions issued for the original M-16 or AK platforms that had other stated functions.

Seems a bit silly, if you are deploying that thing, you're already dead....

I got it...just not sure a newbie would.

Although that bayonet was pretty neat...but it takes up too much room
