I would take Pitts over specialized armament right now if what I heard about them pretty much opening up every one they cut down to their specs that are over .070 are true.

I heard that they Open up the cut and non cut 10.3 to over the .070 crane spec to increase reliability.

Commercially available Colt factory 10.3" are larger than 0.070.
The best option, IMO, is to cut down a 16".

They will do whatever you ask. I am not sure what they do for the stock barrel they sell. You could be right. I am not sure why SA would do that. I can tell you I have had them cut 16" barrels and I specified the gas port.
Not sure about that. I know Colt typically has run smaller than other commercial barrels. I know DD had been running larger ports in commercial barrels, and had some issues. To be fair, I am not aware of any Colt 10.3" barrels being "commercially available." To my understanding, they are made for military, and are sold commercially when they have capacity, and then, they made to .070" spec. Maybe there is another 10.3" Colt barrel out there. I have tried to find Colt 10.3" barrels form some time, and there are none available. Guys like Grant, SA, and AU all get special goodies from Colt, that I would not call commercially available.
The first Mk18s had cut-down M4 barrels. Eventually, Colt was able to produce 10.3" barrels for the Mk18 program. In light of this, cutting down a Colt M4 barrel to 10.3" would be correct for some Mk18 clones just as the LMT 10.5" barreled uppers would be correct for some.

I will maybe measure mine if I can find some pin gauges. It will be a while though as it's assembled and I don't want to take it off
