    Mosin Nagant Scout rifle converstion

Done! Mosin scout rifle! With co-witness iron sights. All the work was done myself, taping the holes, soldering, threading, everything done with hand tools in the garage.
It is possible to cowitness the irons through the dot sight. No need to remove if it goes down or the battery dies suddenly.
    Parts list:
1943 round with the arrow in the triangle. Great shiny bore terrible cosmetics
    ATI stock
    Homemade shooting sling
    Talon sling swivels
WILLIAMS rear sight with notched blade
DIP Inc. Marlin 60 Picatinny rail
    Bushnell TRS-25 red dot
    Unbranded steel front sight ramp(eBay)
Williams fiber optic 3/8 dovetail front sight
    Crush washer
    CNC warrior AK-74 brake
    Work completed:
Drilled and tapped rear sight to 6-48
    Solder front sight ramp
File work to place the DIP Inc on to the sight rail
    Strip the old krylon paint
Drilled the sight pin holes to 6-32 and then thread for machine screws to hold the base
Tap into the barrel for a 6-32 screw to further secure the rail
    Sand and clean up rail
Cut,profile, crown to 11 degree and thread to 1/2-28.
Trim up a 10-22 rail and JB weld into the stock to hold a flash light
Disassemble the bolt took a torch and bent the handle slightly to help give a little more torque if it gets stuck or freezes in cold weather
Bolt, strip the grease, polish the bearing surfaces and reassemble and Lubricate
    Duracote Magpul FDE the metal
Fitting the stock and painting a splinter type camo( spray paint)
Irons will need to be rezeroed because I had the take them off to finish the metal
It's not pretty, I was going for utilitarian, functions and accuracy enhancements. I think I accomplished it.

I, I, I kind of like it.... It's different, it's utilitarian, it kinda has style.

I really dig that you did all of the work yourself. I enjoy doing that kind of thing myself.

I hope that it shoots great for you.

Wow, talk about a transformation. This is especially handy for those guys that have a couple stock rifles and could dedicate one for something different. That's one hell of an in-house job. I'm not sure how often you'd be using the WML, but do you think it's mounted too far forward and would need a tape switch? Regardless that's a really nice conversion.

Nice work! How's it shoot? Have you tried a Flash hider in place of the break? I find the fire ball/ concusion more obnoxious than the recoil.
