If/ when it does, the socialists spending schemes will be exposed for what they are. Then, and only then will people start figuring out that the country cannot afford to pay for welfare, food stamps, medicaid, medicare social security, etc, a day of reckoning will come, and, we, as a country will be better off for it.
Not so sure this is true. All that will happen is that they will double down and blame the detractors for their failures. They were not able to do enough and that is why it failed. It will be the fault of the conservatives and the right, not their own.

You know it's bad when Oregon hippies tell California hippies to go back home . . .

That works until the rest of the world decides that your money is worthless paper, Once faith in any currency is lost, it is never regained. When this happens, the EBTcards will no longer work, the check ain't in the mail, the FSA's bills ain't getting paid. at that point, watch how fast the FSA switches sides. Venezulea is almost there, the people down there are just about ready to revolt. The same thing will happen here...In the end socialism always fails. Sometimes it just takes a little longer.

Houston... it's flipped to hard blue. The city hasn't had a republican or even a decent mayor since the 80s. Sad... It was such a nice place before the 2000s.

Imho, Texas is still one of the greatest States there is, but I give it another 50-75 years and it will go blue. It will be one of the last hold outs, but the invasion of CA people and illegals will not let up. AZ, ID, MT and UT are also under the same onslaught. 100 years from now the whole country will be blue.

This morning the local news was alerting parents that the time for qualifying for "free lunches" is drawing to a close. Parents need to get their paperwork turned in ASAP or their kids will be forced to buy or browbag lunch.
The reporter mentioned 80% of the kids in Waco TX are now on the program.
I was a kid in the '60s, if you were on the welfare or getting a "free lunch" there was a bit of a stigma attached to that. I think we've lost any semblance of personal pride when it comes to being self sufficient.
There is no such thing as a"Free Lunch".

50-75! You have an optimistic view brother. I give it more like 10 years. The progressive infection spreads quick, I'm a CO native- I know first hand.

I think Wyoming is the only state that will never be blue. Californians don't like windy harsh winters. Ain't moving there!

Once CO gets to the point I can't take it anymore I'm headed north to good ole conservative gun loving least populated state in the union WYO!
We interrupt this programme to bring you an important news bulletin: the suspect in the Happy Times All-Girl Glee Club slaying has fled the scene and has managed to elude the police. He is armed and dangerous, and has been spotted in the West Side area, armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and his genitals in the other...

You are exactly correct. I remember my school had to put in place a lunch "chip" program. You had to buy or get yours issued at the beginning of the day. You had to go to the Lunch office and make your transaction. That way no one could tell if you paid or got it for free. This was put in place because many of the kids on "free lunch" would not eat because of the stigma that was associated with it. Now days these people expect a free lunch and look at it as a prize.

Shame is a very powerful social tool to keep the fringes mainstream. Ever since the grand old 1960's the left has worked on trying to show that the fringe of society is norm....... Now we have tons of deviant subcultures breaking down our society.

It is not freedom it is minority rules. They hated it in South Africa yet love it here.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

Hahahaha! I feel for you in CO. Once upon a time, that was such a cool place too.

Maybe AZ, UT, WY and MT can join the forces of common sense. Imho, if WY is left to stand alone, the Progressives will simply blockade it (landlocked) until it surrenders and flies the Progressive flag too. There's still hope for Texas too. The current Governor (like Trump) is going everything in his power to reverse the Blue trend. That's where I get my 50-75 years. I don't think he and Trump have stopped it, but they have sure set the Progressives back a few years!!!

Reminds me of something I read a while back...

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they worked for, that is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Between Antifa, BLM, FSA, SJWs, ISIS, open borders, and Dems in general (and more than a few Republicans), I don't think global warming in our biggest worry. The next few decades should prove to be an interresting ride.
