    Mounting a TLR-1 on a Colt 6920, suggestions?

I currently have the factory hand guards, if I need to replace them to mount the TLR-1, I want drop-in's. My solution so far is to replace the factory hand guards with:

Magpul MOE® M-LOK® carbine length hand guards.

    https://www.magpul.com/products/moe-...length-ar15-m4

Install a Magpul M-LOK® CANTILEVER RAIL/LIGHT MOUNT, ALUMINUM at the 10 o'clock position. I am right handed.

    https://www.magpul.com/products/m-lo...mount-aluminum

Install a Magpul M-LOK® ALUMINUM RAIL, 9 SLOT at the 2 o'clock position.

    https://www.magpul.com/products/m-lo...m-rail-9-slots

To mount a TLR-1 long gun remote pressure switch kit.

    http://streamlight.com/docs/default-...a-Sheet_15.pdf

I want the pressure switch for the momentary and "locked off" position to prevent accidental actuation. I would zip tie down any excess wire.

Does this solution seem optimal or are the better solutions out there?

    Thanks.

I have been using one for a few years. It is a great piece of gear. I used to use the Mossie Tactics midnight mount. It was held against the FSB by set screws and would loosen. The above mount can be loctited in place.

This is a solid and simple solution. You're on the right track. I would not hesitate to do this.

I've used this one for seven years and thousands of rounds. NO hint of loosening yet:

If you want to stay with the factory handguards:

    Mount: http://www.impactweaponscomponents.c...-mount-n-slot/
    Pic Rail Section: http://www.impactweaponscomponents.c...-light-mounts/

    For the MOE Handguards:

Easy, quality, and backed by a solid company.

    I second the MI MCTAR-01G2...

I'll have to try that one.

Does it interfere with using the forward sling swivel? (I notice none of the rifles in the pics have a forward sling swivel).

I did not have a good experience with the BLAM Benelli M4 Light Mount. YMMV.
