    HK 223/HK 233K rifles

I'm guessing that these are in the running for Germany's G36 replacement?

    Features:
Fully ambidextrous weapon operation for both right-handed and left-handed shooters
Slim Line handguard and upper receiver with STANAG 4694 profile at 12 o’clock position. MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail on 6 o’clock position
Foldable, retractable buttstock with height-adjustable cheek rest. Weapon can also be used with the buttstock in the folded-in position
Tool-free assembly/disassembly of the main assemblies
Wide variety of accessories available, such as training bolt group, bayonet, suppressor, drum magazine, brass catcher, blank firing attachment, forward grip, bipod and more
Mounting of optical sights (3x) and reflex sights (1x) on sight rail possible

I think the HK433 is a more likely candidate for that: http://www.heckler-koch.com/en/produ.../overview.html

Rumors suggest that the HK233 is an updated version of the G36 with the biggest change being attempts to rectify the wandering zero issue.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

They continue to tease us with awesomeness like this...maybe when the new Georgia facility is complete, those of us in the US will be able to purchase...

We can only hope that the Georgia facility is going to churn out all of the BA stuff we have been denied for years.

Being able to afford it is another thing, but lets take this one step at a time.
