Disclaimer: I am a huge LMT fan.

This was my first experience with LMT enhanced products. I've been meaning to get spare parts & the sale made me choose to try the enhanced bolts & bcg. It`s not what I expected, either, based on photos of enhanced bolts, hence I called them after reading this thread.

It's possible it could be something like chromium nitride. I believe that is what JP uses in their bolts. JP's bolts are kinda shiny, but the polish them in areas. Standard chromium nitride has a more matte look like hard chrome.

I couldn't give a rats ass, but I noticed it so I thought I would ask. There is so much brilliant technology in that whole enchilada that I just sip and sip the LMT Koolaid. I would be betting its better than for it not to be finished, so Im good with my 200 smacks.

Yes, get on their mailing list if you want to see specials. Its a bit of a sign on how soft the AR market is these days.

Agreed. LMT hasn't gone on meaningful discount for big parts like this in a MINUTE.

I, too, drink freely of their Kool Aid. Shit just works.

The LMT Store is back up, but the sale is over.

Bummer, I would have snagged a couple. Also LMTs web site does not have a readily discernible way to get on the email notification list. I sent them an email.

I bought two complete carriers from the sale.

One was the new bolt and one was old.

Notable to me more so than the finish color and texture was the bolt lugs were different. One corner of the lugs has a camper on it. I would suppose so as not to contact the barrel expense nation locking and unlocking. I can take a picture later.

All these bolts have version codes on the bottom. Most now start with A them a second letter. I think my two were AG and AI
