Thousands? I aint buying it. If it's 100 I'd be amazed. I assume now the mil will have to go count them.
Many med issues requiring ongoing medication will keep you out of West Point. I believe thyroid issues are one of them.

Then that alone may be legit reason to ban transgendered soldiers unrelated to their being trans

As someone who was disqualified from service for a psychological/medical issue, I say it's only fair. If I'm damaged goods because I take a pill to help manage OCD, then a person who thinks he/she/it requires hormone treatment and major body modifications to treat his/her/its "condition" is damaged goods as well.

How are you guys considering someone "transgendered" as "stable?"

It's extreme cross-dressing to the point of mutilation. That's considered stable these days?

I take a thyroid supplement daily and basically, I am undeployable because I would be a liability if I were to lose my medication somehow. I would be a danger to my unit and that would make us less combat effective.

I'd hate to be the guy who has to take one for the team to make that stat right. If not enough Transformers come forward are they going to start to pressure people to 'volunteer' so that the unit hits its metrics?

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

I'm hearing there are estimates of 10,000-20,000 transgendered persons currently serving in the armed forces.
