Colt 6920 Trooper

For those of you with a trooper, do you think any Centurion Arms CMR rail would fit on the upper? I’m just wondering if the front sight base is shaved enough to fit a CMR 15 inch rail.

Now that the 6920 Troopers have jumped up in price and the Mexican marked 6920 have apparently sold out, what’s the best deal around for a 6920? Has anyone seen a Trooper for $700 recently?

I haven't seen a trooper in the 700$ range since I bought one in the end of september.
I see standard 6920's going for about 800$ regularly right now, and the OEMs for about 699.
Troopers I have not seen for any lower than 900$ lately.

I’m glad I bought a Trooper when I did. I hope they go back down in price. A couple of my friends were interested in buying ARs and I recommended the Troopers but they waited too long. At $900-$1000, the Troopers aren’t that great of a deal anymore.

I'm glad I did as well, my only regret was not buying 2 of them. My Trooper is my favorite gun right now, and I own a lot of guns.

Also, if I got an OEM-2 for 650-700$, I would be spending at least 900$ to set it up like the trooper.. So it might not be a steal anymore at that price, but I would consider it a fair price. Although once you get into the 1000$ range, there are many more options than just buying a 6920.
I'm sure there will be a few more times over the next few years some good deals will pop up. I remember turning down a few 700$ NIB colts during the Obama era and feeling stupid about it.
