Sold off my two Arsenal AK's about 5 years ago and never looked back. No interest in going back to AK's regardless of price.

AK is the one platform that I haven't owned due to the possibility of the canted sights and barrel variances in quality. I expect any gun to run at least 2.5moa

Why is canting such a common issue in the AK world? Don't the assemblers have a jig they can work from...?

A lot of the canting is done on purpose. The commie barrels are not bored concentric so to zero the rifle the FSB must be canted. Several well known and skilled builders proved what I have posted.

I think that "some" might be a better quantification than "a lot". Every AK that I've ever seen with a visually canted front sight had to have the front sight post pushed in the opposite direction of the cant.
