The Forbes 400 is a list by net worth, not income. Your math is entirely wrong. SMH good luck with your world view. It’s hopeless because rich people...

At least we can agree on firearms.

Ah crap... you're right. It's been a long day.

At least we can agree on firearms.
Until Froglube vs FireClean pops up again

Back to the original discussion, who else (aside from Colt's Decades-Long Emergency) might be notably at risk? There have been a lot of AR manufacturers and accessories/gimmicks companies that seem to have popped up over the past couple of years, and I can't see a lot of them surviving this flip in Supply vs Demand.

Larger companies will probably be fine, but (for example) Remington's reputation has been plummeting hard for a good while...

The tacticool and firearms market is certainly in a bubble ripe for a burst and consolidation, but with limp national wages, inflated housing costs, student loan debt, and skyrocketing medical premiums there isn't much left over for mags, guns, gear and training.

As these companies start going belly up and displacing workers the problem is going to get exponentially worse.

All the demand in the world is irrelevant without disposable income to back it up. Or is the solution for companies like US Palm to only make 100 Mags a year for $1000 a pop?

On the upside, if you've got some cash, it's a great buyers market ar this time. Companies are damn near begging for sales with great incentives.

Yeah I'm not sure what the relationship was between Tango Down and US Palm, but I hope that TD takes over production and offers the AK Battle Grip. Though that is not mentioned in the quoted official release from the owner of US Palm.

Sure the economy has something to do with this, but let's face it. The last eight years has been insane for the firearm industry thanks to Obama's and the Democrats constant attack on firearms. Now that Trump defeated Hillary who actually ran on gun control as one of her top priorities sells have slumped across the firearms industry.

I surmise those companies would rather see a slump in sells rather than never to be able to sell goods to the civilian / commercial market ever again. Little guys like US Palm had multiple contributing factors as noted in my OP.

The problem with mentioning company names is that so little as an unfounded rumor could cause da interwebz to believe that company XYZ is on the edge of bankruptcy. That could either make their products more popular and give them a boost, OR it could make people abandon them on the belief that either (a) there won't be future support, or (b) they can get the products cheaper in the coming bankruptcy sale.

IMHO it's best if we refrain from that topic, even if many here are likely to have good ideas of who is teetering on edge.

FYI, watching CDNN's website and email alert is a good way to find out which companies are trying to flush inventory, but not all of them are in trouble.

The grips are for sure getting produced again. I sent Robert a note when I first heard about this back a couple months ago, possibly looking to buy the molds - was told they were already sold.

It's a tough market out there, especially for items that aren't particularly at risk. At one time I think I had a couple dozen AKs, but not once did I feel the need to upgrade the pistol grip. Of course I can shoot an AR with an A1 grip so I don't need a lot of customization.

Always hate to see the supplier of quality items go under, but it's a tough market out there.

    Good to hear it.

Any chance you know, or can tell, who bought them and will be producing them in the future?

That info was not volunteered or asked for when he kept it private.
