Always hate to see the supplier of quality items go under, but it's a tough market out there.
I have one AK, just as a reference sample. It was 250$ new back in 2004. Like you I have never had the urge to mod it. I can't say this for any other gun I own. The ergo's on an AK are so bad I see no reason to try to improve them, the are what they are.

I've been shooting such a wide variety of rifles over the years I can work comfortably with almost anything. While things like underfolding stocks might prove uncomfortable, the AK pistol grip has never hindered me in any meaningful way.

Figured that would be the case, appreciate the reply.

A standard polymer Eastern bloc AK grip feels like a thin popsicle stick in my Wookie paws. The US PALM Battle Grip beefs up the geometry of the grip and combined with an after market enhanced safety selector like a Krebs, the ergos are much improved upon.

    Question

So anyone have an idea of what US Palm AK products are going for on the aftermarket?

I have not been able to find any prices on AK30 mags (w/ or w/o steel inserts) , new or used, and various colors.

I've seen Battlegrips fetch $65 for Gen2 (w/o the rubber plug) black grips but have heard the other colors especially the Gen1's with rubber plug go for higher.

The extra diameter of their grip was a welcome addition for those seeking to modernize an AK, the radius at the top of the grip was too short, and didn't support the back of the hand well. In my case, this, combined with the taper of the grip tended to drive my hand up into the bottom of the receiver... which was especially annoying on rifles like the AMD (which have a stock folding button onto which my hand was pressed).

When the grip came out, it was the best aftermarket grip around, but the magpul grip was better and cheaper. The grip, like the magazine, would have benefitted from some evolution.

I know it's going to give some people the heebie jeebies, and I was skeptical myself, but the officially licensed US Palm grips by PTS(airsoft company) are exactly the same as the OG US Palm grips, except for the PTS logo on the inside of the grip. I bought one and compared it to a real US Palm grip myself. They're $25. The GBB model is the one that works with real AK's.

I have no idea about the mag situation.

Perhaps that is the company US Palm sold their molds and copyright to....

The only thing I would be leery about is the materials that PTS utilizes, they might look and feel the same but if they went el cheapo on the recipe there could be an issue.

Thanks for the heads up though, never heard of them before.
