Anybody make 10.75" barrels besides PWS?

I know I could cut down a longer one, but would prefer not to.

This would go on a 10" hand guard with a Griffin taper mount can.

I might get the PWS DI "Cannon" barrel, I have nothing against them.

For $140, it sounds like a great item to test out and post a review on.

Green Mountain Barrels has a 10.5" 5.56 1:7 chrome bore and chamber. I have this barrel on my SBR and it has been a good one. http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/gm-m26-...56mm-nato-1-7/

They also have an 11" 5.56 1:6 chrome bore and chamber. http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/gm-m34-...ited-quantity/

I've been well satisfied with GMB's quality and price.

That PWS barrel in .223 Wylde sounds good, the description didn't talk about the bore, is it chromed or nitride?

    They are nitride.

EDIT: Whoa, that Green Mountain 11" barrel has a 1:6 twist? I've never even heard of that in a 5.56mm rifle before.

Seems odd. I can't think of a reason for it as 1/7 is already very fast. They also list no reasoning for it in their description. I'd love to know how they came up with this. 1/7 is already more than enough for 77gr bullets.

    I called GMB.

According to the gentleman I conversed with the 1:6 twist was at the request of some of the 'boss's friends' for 72 to 75 grain bullets. While I was on the phone with him I also asked who they made barrels for that he could disclose.

His reply, well we make barrels for Sig and Bravo.

So, I guess if you have that BCM love, GMB must be gtg.

BTW 30% off retail until Monday, August 28th - Boss's Birthday Bash.

1/7 has no trouble stabilizing 72-75gr. I wonder if this was somebody trying to make a rifle to shoot supers and subs from the same system. There's at least one manufacturer that claims to have a working product.
