I bought a 6920 in 2006 through an LE dealer. What I received was stamped, "Made in Canada". The only real difference between the Diemaco made 6920 and the American 6920's is the hammer forged barrel. But you can notice the difference...

I've heard differing stories as to whether those Diemaco 6920s actually had the hammer forged barrel or not. Nice to know they DID actually.

About 9-10 years ago CDNN or some other bulk shop had 6520s (if I recall correctly) with all the cool Canadian markings: maple leaf, Canada, stylized "D" forge markings, etc. I regret not getting one of those more than selling my all Swiss SAN 551-2.

I'd buy an IUR monolithic upper in a heart beat.

Some of you might be interested in the website below. They do ship to the US but I'm not sure what if anything is ITAR controlled. Have a browse.

How exactly do you plan to legally import any of those barrels or complete rifles?

I don't think anyone is "planning" to. This poll was just to satisfy my curiosity about what the market demand would be for that stuff if it WERE to get imported. Although LEGALLY I don't see what would keep the stuff out of the country if Colt wanted it here. We get semi-auto rifles/barrels from every other country that puts in the effort (minus China) if it will sell. I think the ONLY thing that keeps Colt Canada stuff out of the USA is that Colt USA doesn't want it here.
