This is not terrorism, nor does it represent any body of people as a whole.

No one has claimed any responsibility and there are not reports of who these attackers were. But it definitely looks familiar

Was reading about this earlier. Sent it to my sister. She was there last July in the same exact area. It's a heavy tourist area. She was there every day for a week going from her hotel to take tourist busses.

Somewhere I have a pic she sent me of a cop standing around with a HK UMP

    Found it

My sister returned from Barcelona last week. I could post usual snarky comment about "the damn Mormon's" and "need to ban assault trucks" an such, but it just seems hollow at this point, like the fact we need to add a date to such posts due to being such a common event.

Why are the body counts higher for this overseas? Are the vans driving faster, larger vehicles used? Is it that there are a lot more street side cafes with a lot of people packed together?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Is that a shadow behind that officer or a mullet?

I'm hoping it's a mullet because it would properly reflect my closed minded view of Southern Europe.

I think it's because the offenders usually leave in body bags, not handcuffs.

We also don't walk with cars on the street. Street fairs here have barricades up to block traffic, at least the ones I've been to.

Yeah, I think it's that...Narrow streets, lots of people, no where to go.

The guy that works across the hall from me just came back from there as well and has lot of friends in Barcelona...He's pretty upset. I agree about the snarky comments. The Mormon thing came to my head, but I decided making snarky comments is stupid and pointless. It's a shitty situation and it's been happing too often.
