    Concealed mag carrier/pouch

Or pouch, or whatever you want to call it. Basically something I'm looking for a mag pouch or carrier that can live on the belt for my EDC's Glock 19 reload. I've done the pocket carrier thing, it works in a pinch, but usually my cell and EDC light live in my support side pocket and shoving it in the back pocket ain't what I would call comfy, even if the comforting over comfort thing is brought up. The carrier I was using was this

which was a pretty decent piece of kit, I mean, it lasted about a year before it broke the other day, not trashing the thing mind you, I've broken a lot of stuff lately, including a SF light, a reloader, a windshield, a gun, another light, a few tools, and probably a few hearts. Anyway.... I'm looking for some suggestions before I say to hell with it and order another of the same pouch, carrier, thingy. I mean SKD is running a sale so.....

    Suggestions?

A friend of mine has one of his single stack mag holders. Definitely high quality and well built.

I'm ordering one and the holster now.

Why a horizontal mag pouch? I have my thoughts on them in general, but not sure I see benefits for concealed carry, so I would welcome your reasoning. If nothing else than to understand it.

I actually kind of like that, not sure my pants can take more stuff jammed into them, but I will look into them. Might give them a try. We will see.

I use Milt Sparks S-4C mag pouches for off-duty and plain clothes concealed carry. Very well built and slim, even in double stack variety.

This works with the Magpul mags as well as the factory Glock mags. Magpul mags will not fit in some pouches.

I wear TRU-SPEC 24/7 shorts in the warm months and Duluth Trading work pants in the cooler ones. The shorts have two concealed open top pockets in each side cargo pocket. The pants have a concealed pocket in the right front pocket. Those pockets are where I carry an extra G19 OEM mag with no problems. Plenty of other pockets to hold cell, white light, etc. so I can have a dedicated pocket without any obstructions for my CCW reload.

I have been using the Blue Force Gear belt magazine pouch. Stays out of the way and you can use it with any pistol you have negating the need for multiples.

I've been using it for months and it works as good as any other. Retention is phenomenal. Your magazine isn't going anywhere you don't want it to. My belt has an inner velcro liner and the mounting hardware on the pouch mates to the belt perfectly. It doesn't even budge. Nothing fancy, no frills, but it works. And it's Blue Force Gear so you know it's well made and backed by an awesome company.
