I've had really good results with IMI 55gr.

Here's a 10rd group with BHA 55 FMJ reman, ~1.7" from my LT Stealth. I've shot some more of this from the same gun to 600yds and it stayed on 12x20 steel without a problem. It's running out of gas at that distance, but it should stay on smaller plates and/or stretch a little farther.

Reman 55 JSP did about as well but I don't recall the details. Also consider trying the 60 V-Max and 68 OTM, both of which are available in reman as well. These options will be more expensive than bulk .223, but you'll get a lot more out of them than many others.

Try Hornady American Gunner 55gr HP. Comes in 247 round ammo can for around $125.00+/-.

It shoots fairly well for me out of acouple of my AR 15's. I was doing 1.5 MOA in my SBR with it, 100 yards is as far as I have shot it, but 400 yards is within it's realm, up to 600 would probably be OK, but that would also depend on if it's accurate out of said rifle, and shooters skill is up to it's task.

So, look for Hornady American Gunner 55gr HP, give it a shot.

Well I just put an order into Sportmans warehouse (only place I could find for free shipping on a small order). I ordered the most "budget" 223 higher weight loads I could find to test and yes most are steel case. I'll test them out on the 100 yard and 250 yard lines to see how they perform.

    Here's the order.

Yes gun will be my "SPR" Build that has proven to float around 1-1.25" with my 55 Z-Max reloads. It may be too much to ask but I'm hoping to find a budget load that will stay under 3-4" at 250yards. I'll post up results next week.

In the ammo can? 247… I know a weird number. I don't know why, but that is the number.

The group. I shoot 10 shot groups as a baseline for standard rifles/carbines and 20 round groups for match/precision rifles.

I check and verify zeros with a 5 round groups.

you know the MEN ammo is pretty good bulk stuff. Mark and I shot a few boxes, and many other folks as well. I shoot a lot of their 9mm and consider it top of line for bulk ammo.

Ok, so the 1.5 MOA group you mention above was a 10rd group?
