This is a Colt frame/slide built by Wilson Combat using all of their bullet proof line of parts. Its a shooter and I carry it every day in a Milt Sparks summer special II. I supplement the 1911 with a Hi Power built by Ted Yost which by far one of my favorite pistols.

I carry a Glock a good deal of the time as the G17 is my department's issued weapon. But I've been always partial to my Colt Government model for more than 20 years now. Started life as a stock series 80 worked by a local gunsmith back in 1990. Then reworked and upgraded as time went on. Still a tack driver and yes the plastic lovers always give me strange looks. It's a workhorse and I make no apologies for scratches and wear marks.

I don't carry it every day (I alternate between J-frame around the office, and 1911 if I'm out & about), but it's 1911 when I go. Usually a SA 1911-A1.
RIA FS Tactical in this picture - I'd JUST acquired it and wanted a picture with my ALSO new holster
