NFA Wait Times Now vs. Post Sandy Hook / Obama's Election(s)

for me getting in line for tax stamps is like having kids. you blackout the bad parts (screaming, crying, lack of sleep, etc) b/c of all the good which leads you to have more. in the case of NFA it's the brutal wait times.

which leads to my question. is the current wait the longest yet? I remember post sandy hook was more guns in general and then Obama's election(s) were awful....but the mix of Hillary's potential election and then 41f seems to really made it awful.

I put a post 41F trust form 1 in for a scorpion mid 12/16 and I don't count on seeing that thing until probably 1/16 from what I can tell.

All I know is I have a form 1 where the check was cashed 29 July and I am still waiting

Did you mean January 2018? Rather than 1/16?

Yes, I am in the same boat. I have four Form 1'as and two Form 4's that I submitted in early December 2016. If I get them by Christmas, I'll be very happy.

My FFL informed me that the wait is now right at 10 months for a AAC Ti-Rant 9M I bought a few weeks ago.

I've just accepted the fact I wont see my purchase for a year. Sucks. No reason to wring my hands over it.

I guess in reality it's like buying a big truck and complaining about mileage. if you get into NFA you're going to wait. I get it. but my Lord it seems this may be the longest backlog to date.

is that correct? was there a longer backlog you all can recall?
