I'd agree that Loctite is less than optimal simply due to the potential mess. However, I do like the fact that it's more "torque transparent" than the bonded/reusable thread-lock stuff (namely Vibra-Tite) in my experience. With that stuff, it can really increase the required force to seat a fastener, which can actually exceed the suggested torque value in some instances. Maybe that is more a function of improper (too thick) application from the small sample size of suppliers I've seen/used.
Is the Nylock stuff similar to (or better than) Vibra-tite?
