With that stuff, it can really increase the required force to seat a fastener, which can actually exceed the suggested torque value in some instances. Maybe that is more a function of improper (too thick) application from the small sample size of suppliers I've seen/used.
Is the Nylock stuff similar to (or better than) Vibra-tite?
Nylok is superior in our experience. Vibratite is an ND industries product, which is my understanding was started by an ex-Nylok employee. ND industries is about 1/3 the cost of Nylok... The Nylok torq-patches we have applied to the small optic screws we use often costs us more than the screw itself. Based on past experience we feel it's well worth the extra cost.

All of the torque values we currently specify in our instruction manuals are experimentally determined by us with the exact Nylok treated screws we ship.

That depends on what mount you're using for your magnifier.

    Let us know.

    Yes it will.

If anyone wants to use Aimpoint's Flipmount ring on their Twistmount base; please select their "Tall" Flipmount ring (39mm height) option.

We're still a few months away from releasing our LEAP/MAG flip-to-side mounts.

Not sure if anyone mentioned yet, the M5 body is machined from billet T7 aluminum instead of forged T6 alloy like the rest of the Aimpoints. They charge you for that.

Yesterday, I received my CompM5 bundle from Scalarworks... No range time yet, obviously, but I love the apparent quality, fit, and finish.

I have a Knight’s SR-15 mod 2 inbound. Question about the Comp M5. What is the diameter of the lens? I really like my Aimpoint ML3 and Aimpoint Pro models with cantilever mounts. I really don’t want a smaller FOV. I have a Micro T1 on a Glock 17, but would prefer something larger for a rifle.

The clear aperture on the CompM5 is the same as on a T-2: 18mm.

Keep in mind that the CompM5 is almost 40% shorter than the PRO, so the perceived filed of view between the two is not nearly as much as the clear aperture numbers would lead one to think.

I thought all Aimpoints were made of 7075?
