Looks like it might have a cross pin in the back there...

Maybe? I could be wrong though.

It will be pinned soon - but the bbl is drilled to dimple it so far.

but for a low pro under the rail -- I dont think it will take as many impacts that I could give a regular FSB.

That uppers had a rough go in a previous life.

A low profile gas block that is in dimples with red loctite and covered by a rail is pretty safe IMHO. I also fit my GB's so that they require some effort to install.

edit: I only ask because I know you have a good reason
Same reason as the KAC MRE

Longer tube so 1) the shooter does not get burned (albiet a can does get hot)
    2) the tube can be rested on stuff without affecting the barrel

and so my finger dont not rest on the FSB (I still finger point when using a vert grip) - I burnt my nomex glove (and finger) on a 10.5 w/ 7.0 Larue tube.

More to come as Larue parts come in

Be careful with all that LaRue stuff, I wouldn't want you to get a scratch under the rail from the levers..................................... .
"Cpl ##### is condescending and abrassive towards coworks who don't follow directions" my favorite evaluation quote........if I'm like that at work, you should see me on the internet .

"Even if I order you to trim your mustache, you're going to totally ignore me, huh".-another favorite supervisor "discussion".
