    .300 Blackout build - 16”

I have a lower all built out just getting dusty in my safe and I’ve been toying with getting a .300 Upper for it, being in CA it has to be a 16”, no suppressor or SBR options here :/ curious about experiences/ suggestions for complete uppers please.

I can only say that I love my .300 AAC Blackout upper. But mine is a SBR, with a 10.5" barrel. I used a Bergara barrel. So far it seems to be accurate.

I have a 5.56X45mm SBR upper with a Faxon Firearms 10.5" pencil barrel and it is very accurate!

As for a complete upper, I don't know. I always build mine because I can never find what I'm looking for.

My .300 AAC Blackout SBR upper build wears a ALG Defense EMR V1M-LOK handguard, in gray with MagPul sights. Right now a cheap red dot is on it. This has a Yankee Hill Manufacturing QD suppressor mount muzzle brake on it.

My 5.56X45mm with the Faxon barrel has a BCM KMR Alpha handguard on it. This has a Yankee Hill Manufacturing QD Phantom QD suppressor mount flash hider on it.

As for my .300 AAC Blackout, it has been accurate. It's fun, but cost twice as much to shoot. With the cheap stuff going around $15.50 compared to 5.56X45mm at $7.95.

It does hit steel hard though, that heavy .30 caliber really knocks it down.

What is your budget? What is purpose of it?

Thanks for the info. I’ve never built an upper so I’m wary. Budget approximately $900

Purpose is target & maybe hunting

BCM makes great stuff. I have had great luck with everything that I have gotten from them.

Here is something that might be right up your alley!

Within your budget, top notch, and hey. It's BCM!

BCM makes good stuff and customer support is great.

My BCM 16" 300 Blk upper has been 100%, as has my buds.
Current cost is well within your budget.

BCM advises to use an H3 buffer if shooting Supers.
Take this advice with your lower.
