    .17 WSM threaded barrel?

I'm considering my next rimfire rifle purchase and am curious if there are any manufcturers making a bolt action, threaded barrel rifle in the .17 WSM platform.

    Thanks!

I don’t know of any, but I’m also intrigued and tempted by this round. Since one of my favorite guns I own is a Ruger 77/17 in .17hmr, cut to 17” and threaded, I’m thinking I might just do a big brother in WSM and an 18” barrel.... I’m not a fan (at all) of the cock-on-close bolt of the Savage.

ETA: Once you find a competent gunsmith, it’s super easy and relatively cheap to thread or cut and thread a barrel. I don’t even worry about it.

Ruger makes a couple different threaded rim fire bolt action rifles.

ETA: sorry, just realized you said 17WSM, and not 17HMR.

Affirm. I also get to shoot a Ruger American .17hmr with Q El Camino on a regular basis and it is Awesome with a capital A! Although I must say that the first round pop is indeed noticeable. I love the can, but I wish it was always as quiet as the third round... and the .17hmr is awesome enough that I haven’t pulled the trigger (pun hahah) yet on a WSM. Just shot a coyote at 191 yds last week with the hmr and I’m not sure I need the WSM. But it does seem pretty cool.... that’s my adhd brain at work...
