If you want a quality rifle, as you said, spend more and get the Colt in whatever configuration you desire. Skip the Ruger

Is there anything different between the Trooper and regular LE6920? It seems suspicious a high value handguard AND a le6920 would be priced lower than a standard le6920

Not that I know of, sometimes Colt just does random stuff to throw people for a loop it seems.

Get whatever Colt suits your purpose and don't look back.

How easy is it to sell the Centurion Handguard? It seems this handguard is specifically made for the trooper with no QD sling slot.

So there is really no catch with Trooper vs regular LE6920? I can't believe they would slap on a high quality handguard and then LOWER the price compared to a regular 6920.

Not too sure about the Trooper vs. 6920, but either choice you'd be leaps and bounds ahead of the Ruger in terms of quality. The Ruger is a decent metal club, but the Colt is something I'd actually bet my life on.

Thank guys for the Colt LE6920-R Trooper recommendation. I ended up ordering the Trooper for $699.95 shipped. I also ordered Magpul CTR Mil-spec stock + Magpul Angled foregrip m-lok + CAA pistol grip + Magpul MBUS backup sight pair all for $164.62. Can't wait to receive and assemble everything together. With the $10 FFL transfer fee, I'm looking at $875.

I already own a Vortex Sparc AR and have a G2X LE flash light with mlok mounts coming next week. I got close to $1100 invested into this Colt LE6920 when all's said and done. Worth it in my opinion. I will be using this for my home defense and range shooting.

Here is where I ordered mine: https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Col...n-le6920-r.htm

Does anyone have experience with these guys? They ship for free, and they look legit..

Congrats on a great choice. Here's the current Trooper thread.
