This is something I will definitely love to see come to the civilian market!

Maybe. I think, like many military offerings, you will see a version come to market, in some form, given time. One consideration the manufacturer has is that to get to mil-spec, often takes a lot of $$, both in terms of R&D and prototyping, but also in terms of production. DOD does not want to see a rifle it is paying $12,000 each, be offered on the civilian market for $4,000. So, you might see various parts, and not others, or a slightly different civilian version. We have seen this with KAC and H&K. A little less with Colt.
