Why does this website not secure login passwords?

This website does not use SSL when end users enter their passwords so man in the middle attackers can see everyones password when they try to log in. I would suggest you fix this problem ASAP.

what difference does it make? having passwords sent in clear text is just bad practice.

    Agreed.

A h4x0r could obtain a moderator's password and wreak havoc by deleting posts, or just a general user with sensitive info stored in PMs (from EE sales such as home addresses)

I would have to agree on this one. I mean they sell pineapples with morale patches and tactical pouches these days. It's not because no one has been buying them for the past 10 years. Depending on the lifestyle and general computing security of the mods, it could lead to a really unfortunate situation.
