I just placed an order for a Springfield Professional Operator in 9mm. It's more expensive than the Warren Tactical 9mm was, but it's gonna be a Pro. I own a few DW's, they are the sweet spot in 1911's in my opinion. All tool steel internals, hand fitting and expertly finished. My latest, a blued Valor 45acp, is nearly perfect. I've never had to send one back, but talking with Keith from DW gives me the impression it would not be an issue. I wouldn't hesitate to get a DW.

The Pro I just received was ordered in Oct, 2015. I waited 28 months for that one. I plan to shoot this one and wanted one to put away. So I called Deb and ordered a second non-rail Pro. When she sent me to email confirmation, it stated 6-8 months to delivery. I was shocked, I was planning on waiting a while. I can only assume with the FBI contract done, they are able to get more Pro's in to the hands of consumers. I didn't receive and ETA on the 9mm Pro Operator. If they both arrive within the 6-8 month time frame I'll be posting a WTS ad for a kidney if anyone is interested

I heard a rumor that they were opening up sales of 9mm Pros but didn’t realize you could even order them yet. That’s awesome, I’m jealous.

I have both the Specialist in 9mm and just picked up a Pro Operator in 45. After handling the pro, I was worried about my savings after hearing about them being offered in 9. Anxious to hear the actual wait time and a review for when you get your hands on it.
