I guess I should read the OP when replying! Sorry about that.

STAMarine, I own 076 our of the Warren Series. If the standard RO would have come out before I had ordered my Warren I would have taken a hard look at it. The Combat Operator is supposed to be very close and have took steel internals in the fire control group. My Warren has been flawless after about 7.5k rounds. If you can get one and want to spend the cash they are well worth it! If you can’t get the Warren I’d look for the Combat Operator and add a magwell to it. I’ve been contemplating following my own advice for a back up to my Warren.

I've about decided on doing that, but I just want to confirm that SA is still doing upgrades. I really hope they'll still do more than their 2017 list.

How much have you researched on the Dan Wesson? I know you mention the SA warranty but if you don't have a real sentimental tie to SA, I've never heard a bad thing about their CS (can't say the same for SA lately unfortunately). Plus, every review I've read has said that the DW is about the closest thing you can get to a custom build and is significantly more refined than others just under its price. The only bad thing I've seen about them is apparently the stainless models had some issues a few years ago, but even that seems to be fairly limited. It comes with a lot of good stuff from the factory, the only thing I'd want to add personally is FCS.

This is a good idea too. I’ve been looking at the specialist commander too and the only thing it needs is a flat trigger and FCS.

I like the look of the Dan Wesson. I've heard great things about them. I guess the reason I really like SA is they've even fixed wear parts for me, and turn around is quick. I can replace a Glock part myself. I can't tension an extractor or file a sear myself to the extent that u would trust it to carry.

If I need a DW wear part replaced, can I just ship it off to them for an easy turn around? I wouldn't mind paying, I expected to pay SA but didn't have to. I just want it done correctly and fairly quickly.
