Surefire HD1-R / MASTERFIRE Compatible Lights

Does anyone have any of the new-school SF lights that integrate with the HD1-R holster?

Are they backward compatible with holsters made for the X300/X400 etc?

From what the surefire rep told me, it doesn't work with safariland holsters. I haven't bought one for that reason though I would like to buy the 1k lumen light. Though I can't tell you 100% cause I still don't own one lol

Roger that. I just said screw it and ordered an X300UH-B so I guess I'll be the Guinea Pig.

I will wait to hear the results lol. I tried the masterfire holster and I'm personally not a fan. Even with my long thumbs, I gotta reach

If anything, it'll more than likely fit the 6360. Probably not the 6280.

Had some time to mess around with the Masterfire and X300UH-B.

First, a rundown on compatibility of holsters with the X300UHB:

    Advance Holster for 6SM+X300: Pass
    Safariland 7TS Light-Bearing: Fail
    Safariland 6354DO Light-Bearing: Pass
    Kydex Pancake for X300: Fail

Obviously it works with the Masterfire.

Regarding the Masterfire, for my purposes it works. It allows me to run the ALG 6SM, with a light, and with a can. WITH the long thumb release installed, it's operation is similar enough to the ALS mechanism that there's no training hurdle to overcome.

The Masterfire also has a secondary bolt pattern that will allow for integration with Safariland 3-hole belt mounts and QLS forks.

The ability to switch the light on automatically upon drawstroke ameliorates the inability of a 6SM-equipped gun to run a DG switch.
